Termites

Termites (order Isoptera) are wood eating insects that pose a great threat to our homes and businesses.  Termites are social insects that live in colonies.  Each colony will have a queen ruling over her kingdom.  The queen will produce hundreds of eggs daily and by some estimates the queen can live up to twenty years. The worker termites are responsible for the feeding the colony and are the only termites that eat the wood. The workers are in constant search of the cellous material in wood.  Once the workers have  eaten the cellulous they will return to the colony to feed the other termites.

The worker termites are forging for food daily.  It's through this process that they'll  find the cellulose material.  Whether a stick on the ground, a stack of paper or the walls in your home or office, termites are on the march for a sustainable food source.

With just a 64th of an inch they can invade your abode.  As they tunnel their way into your home secretly destroying the wood from the inside out.  Termites will not only damage the wood, but they will eat away at your peace of mind.
